In September 2013 Wilson Stuart School and University College Birmingham formed a partnership and created a vocational study programme called LIVE @ The Hive. The programme is designed to support students aged 19-25 with special educational needs and disabilities into employment and promote their independence and confidence.
In April 2016 we were awarded Independent Specialist College status and formed a new college called Wilson Stuart UCB Partnership Trust (WSUCBPT).
The LIVE study programme continues to go from strength to strength with increasing success stories of our students gaining apprenticeships and paid employment with prestigious employers across the Birmingham area.
In September 2016 we created an additional study programme called STRIVE @ The Hive which provides students with profound and multiple learning difficulties and their families with the Independence and confidence they need to take part in the wider community. In September 2017 we created another study programme called THRIVE @ The Hive which provides students with the opportunities to participate in supported employment or volunteering roles and improve their independent skills as much as possible.
